There was a time where I rarely had any dairy, but it's slowly making it's way back in.

SUGAR IS NATURAL SO IT MUST BE OKAY! Yes, but sugar robs the nerves of B vitamins which are diverted to digest sugar, leaving us nervous and irritable. Hidden sugar comprises 76% of our sugar intake. About 24% is added in the home. The remainder is put in processed foods and the beverage industry. Just read any label at a store. Almost everything has some kind of sugar in it. Sugar also increases the blood fat levels, and has a mysterious clogging effect on the body. The sluggishness of the body brought on by too much sugar causes disease.

This is a very interesting article especially the part about the sugars, However just as a fair warning active people need way more that 18-20 grams of protein a day! Now there our tons of other sources of protein out there whether you're a vegan or not. Proteins and BCAA's (Branch Chain Amino Acids) are the catalyst for repair and strengthening of muscle tissue. In addition understand that Protein is not just Protein different types of protein absorb at different rates into the body. Whey Protein is very anabolic and absorbs quickly into the body. Casein absorbs much slower and is good to take over night. Egg Protein is less anabolic then whey but absorbs quicker into the body than Casein. Soy Protein has it's benefits and disadvantages as well. Anyways I went off on a tangent there lol. My point is if you don't consume more protein than this article states you will be more prone to injury, slower to heal (if the damage is muscular) and weaker overtime as you tear muscle through activity and your body is unable to adapt(By making you stronger) due to s lack of an essential building block of your body; Protein. Thanks for your input. I just thought this website was cool and interested me. I have no idea how much protein I'm consuming each day, nor how many calories. I just 'try' to eat balance and well. Obviously, I don't eat very much meat, so I try to get protein from other sources. I was really intrigued by the meat and dairy info I found on this website.
