Charity: is it over???? Did you make it?
Amanda: yup, I need HEAT. Also, have you tried kale in smoothies? no taste!
My weekend: it went well, except for the ice cream cake, due to V's birthday. I did NOT refrain. And tonight we had some friends over and made chicken wings, so I've had more meat since starting this year than I would like to have had, but that's okay!
I know that with eating right, I need to take a slow approach to reach my goals, because when I go cold turkey on unhealthy habits I tend to end up binging later on down the road, a lot. So slow and steady wins the race for me. This week: organics only, and meal planning! I'll post it tomorrow.
I had a good portion of fruit and vegetables this weekend, totally limited my dairy, and increased the nuts I ate. I need to add more beans this week.
Oh and a little teeny tiny victory for me: I was upstairs watching tv on.... (Friday I think?), staring at a big ol' bowl of M&Ms......and I went downstairs to have something else instead. WOW. I NEVER do that. Normally I would have had that whole bowl downed in like 10 seconds flat. But I refrained. Yay me!
Speaking of Wow. there's a new cookbook out called WoW (Word of Wisdom). I haven't seen it but it came up in RS today, I think I'll check it out.
I'm pretty tired, so more posting tomorrow...

Good for you for choosing something else (rather than M&M's)!! I'm not sure if I would, or if I did, I would probably eat the other thing, and then still eat the M&Ms!!! WILL POWER! :)
