Amanda's Week: Jan 17-23

So, what I've decided is that I'm going to add to this post every day and track what I ate, rather than put a new post for every day...

Monday
Breakfast: rolled oats, blueberries, ground flax seed
snack; fibre 1 bar, carrots
lunch: wrap: whole-wheat tortilla, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, ranch dressing (I really wish I had hummus instead...I should look up a recipe and make some)
snack: shake - banana, spinach, mango, milk, yogurt, protein poweder
dinner: Veggie Stew
Snack: maybe nothing, I feel that I've eaten too much today...oh, and I had some 3 choc. chip cookies this afternoon and some M&Ms

Anyway, while I don't currently have a weight-loss goal, I do know that I can stand to lose some weight and get fit! I am just going to keep tracking what I'm eating so I know the reason if I'm losing or gaining. I do still plan on exercising. I have felt the best today that I have in a long time and finally feel that I'm figuring out how to balance the Dayhome with my personal life and home. 

PS: I said I was going to post the weekly recipes as I make them, but the Veggie Stew isn't that great...not really worth the post. It's OK, I stuck it in the freezer and will pull it out another time, but not blog-worthy.

Tuesday

Breakfast: 2 pieces whole-grain toast with PB & Honey, Banana
Snack: pear
lunch: 1 whole-wheat wrap, ranch dressing, cucumber, carrots, tomato, cheddar cheese
snack: 3 choc. chips cookies and milk, My tummy hurt after.
dinner: air-popped popcorn, evoo, and seasoning. i seriously was not hungry for anything else...including the spaghetti/asparagus dinner I had planned. At least i have the ingredients and can make it another day.

Wednesday

Breakfast: smoothie: milk, yogurt, spinach, blueberries, banana, flax, whey protein. I thought about not adding the milk (using water instead), but I didn't feel like risking it.
snack: raw almonds, apple
lunch: the usual: whole-wheat wrap, ranch dressing, cucumber, tomato, cheddar cheese, carrots
snack: I think I missed this one??
dinner: zucchini and potato bake
snack: cheerios and milk. I just love the cheerios! :)
